Founded in 1955 by Joe Cartledge, Ryslip Group Ltd is a family-owned business with a rich history in the pet care industry. Joe made his mark in the world of dogs, winning Best in Show at Crufts in 1961 with his Airedale “Riverina Tweedsbairn”. Originally located in Cippenham, Ryslip Kennels moved to Binfield in 1959, expanding to serve growing demand for high-quality pet care services.
Over the years, Ryslip has been a pioneer in the industry, one of the first to offer a full range of services including pet boarding, quarantine, pet shipping, grooming, and a pet shop. As the Cartledge family grew, so did Ryslip, continuing to uphold a reputation for excellence in pet care.

- Mrs. Liz Cartledge is an esteemed Crufts Best in Show judge (1999) and one of the UK’s top dog judges.
- Miss Jane Miller is a prominent championship-level judge and breeder of many award-winning Scottish Terrier champions. In 2004, she won Reserve Best in Show at Crufts with Ch. Raglan Rose Maiden.
