Overseas Pet Export Process with Ryslip – Your Guide to Safe & Stress-Free Travel

If you’re planning to move abroad with your pet or import a pet to the UK, Ryslip is here to guide you through the entire pet export process. We’re proud to say we have been a member of IPATA since 2019, so we know how to look after your pet. Follow these steps for a seamless overseas pet relocation experience:

Request a Quote

To get started, contact us for a pet travel services quote. You can reach us by phone at +44 (0) 1344 424144 (Monday – Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm), email in**@****ip.com, or complete our online enquiry form. We’ll respond promptly with an itemized quote, destination country regulations, and a shipping instruction form. We charge only for the services you need.

Review & Confirm the Quote

Once you’ve received the overseas pet relocation quote, review the details. If you’d like to use your own vet for the ‘fit to fly’ health certificate, that’s no problem—just let us know, and we’ll adjust the quote accordingly.

Complete the Shipping Instruction Form

To proceed, fill out the Shipping Instruction form sent with your quote and return it to us. We’ll then book your pet’s flight and apply for any necessary health certificates.

Flight Confirmation & OK to Forward

After booking your pet’s flight, we’ll email you the flight confirmation. The airline will contact you to confirm you’ll be available to collect your pet at the destination airport, known as the ‘OK to Forward’.

Health Examination & Travel Box Check

 The day before the flight (or up to 2-3 days before, depending on the destination), bring your pet to Ryslip or arrange for us to collect them. We’ll perform a health examination and check the travel box to ensure it’s suitable for the journey.

Payment & Final Documentation

Once the travel box is approved, we’ll process your payment and take photocopies of the completed health documents and Air Waybill. We’ll send these to you and your agent if applicable.

Overnight Boarding & Transportation

Your pet will stay overnight in our kennels or cattery for final preparation. The next day, we’ll transport your pet to the airport for their flight.

Airport Handling & Flight

At the airport, our professional animal care team will handle your pet and ensure they are safely boarded onto the plane.

Arrival & Customs

Once your pet arrives at the destination airport, you or your agent will collect them and pay any relevant handling or customs clearance fees.
